Cuts
Today, 13 employees at the Maine State Library were given their two-week notices. Their jobs were all federally funded and current administration has deemed their positions unnecessary. One of them had been tasked with making sure the blind, elderly, and homebound could get books in the format they required shipped to them. A pretty good use of the fraction of the fraction of the overall federal budget, I would think.
This is of course happening all over the country at libraries, museums, and historical societies.
Who wants this?
Anyway, here’s a good video from John Green.
